What is a private function?
Private functions are bookings where the client has exclusive use of the entire pub, restaurant or bar. This means that no members of the public will be able to enter during your booking.

There are plenty of benefits to having a private function! Firstly, it’s a great way to celebrate a special occasion with friends and family, without having to worry about strangers being present. Secondly, it means that you can have the entire venue to yourselves, so you can really make use of the space and create your own atmosphere. Lastly, private functions often come with added extras such as exclusive use of certain areas, or a dedicated member of staff to help with your event.
Is there a minimum number of people required for a private function?
This depends on the venue, but typically there is a minimum number of around 20 people required. However, this may be higher or lower depending on the size and layout of the venue.
What could I celebrate at a private function?
There are endless possibilities! Some popular events include engagement parties, retirement parties, milestone birthdays, christenings/baptisms, baby showers and engagement parties.
