Bouncy & Jumping Castles for Hire Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How long should I hire a jumping castle for?
How long can your kids be entertained in a jumping castle? At a minimum for a birthday, you can be assured the guests will still be bouncing around at least 3 hours later. If you consider the time it takes to set up and inflate these huge toys we would encourage you to book for at least half a day. If you keep the kids fed and hydrated there’s no reason they couldn’t be bouncing around for a full day.
Can adults use the jumping castle?
Big kids, or adults, can definitely join in the fun too! Jumping castles for hire come in many sizes these days, including oversized versions that have no trouble catering to adults as well. But be careful bouncing around to avoid any little people who might not see you coming.
When were jumping castles invented?
The modern jumping castle was invented in the 1980s. Shaped like a castle, jumping castles are an area filled with inflatable material designed for children to play on. However, there are versions of canvas mats and trampolines that go back a lot further than that, although they didn’t look anything like the jumping castles we have today.
What do you need to set up a jumping castle in the park?
To set up jumping castles for hire you need a small, flat space to set them up in. So for an outdoor event, you just need an area big enough for the castle to stand completely flat, and away from trees. You’ll also require power to run the jumping castle once it’s inflated, so make sure you know where your power source is ahead of time. Make sure there are no overhead power lines or tree branches nearby.
Can you have a jumping castle on concrete?
Yes,jumping castles for hire can go up on concrete if the surface is smooth and even. There shouldn’t be any rocks or twigs that may puncture the jumping castle floor.
