The Brûlée Cart was founded by brothers Jack and Bart in Melbourne in 2013. With previous experience selling food on the go in a Belgian Waffle Van, they saw a gap in the market for crème brûlée. Their first cart was crowdfunded, and they now offer wedding catering as well. They have since expanded, with a custom tricycle named "the Crèmecycle" and a second cart in the works. The Brûlée Cart caters for public and private events, delivering to cafes and restaurants throughout Melbourne. They have worked with many clients, including The Bank of Melbourne and Monash University.
